PlasmaLab

High-temperature plasmas and in particular thermonuclear fusion have been among the fields of science and research with the greatest development momentum in recent years, thanks, among other things, to the construction of the ITER international thermonuclear reactor in France. Therefore, in the next three years, a modern hot plasma and fusion laboratory PlasmaLab@CTU will be built at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the CTU, for which the University has received support under the call of the OP VVV "Research Infrastructures for Educational Purposes - Building or Modernisation". The laboratory is designed to best guide our and foreign students through hands-on experiments to master the full range of technical means of modern thermonuclear fusion research and to understand the basic phenomena in high-temperature plasmas.
